Account Data: Email, username, and display name are required to create your account and identify you within the app. Coffee Activity: Reviews, ratings, bean logs, and taste preferences are collected to power your personal coffee journal and generate your taste profile. Profile Information: Bio, avatar photo, and public profile settings let you customize how you appear to other Origin Note users.
Your coffee activity data is processed to generate personalized taste profiles, calculate experience points and levels, and surface relevant coffee recommendations. All processing happens on our servers via Supabase. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising purposes.
Your reviews and bean logs may be visible to other Origin Note users depending on your privacy settings. You can control whether your profile is public or private in Settings > Privacy. Even with a public profile, your email address is never shared with other users.
Origin Note uses your location to show nearby cafes and roasters on the map. Location data is processed on-device for map rendering and is not stored on our servers. We do not track your location in the background. You can revoke location permissions at any time through your device settings.
Photos you upload for your profile avatar or coffee reviews are stored securely in Supabase Storage. Photos are only accessible to authenticated users of the app. We do not analyze photo content beyond what is necessary to display them. You can delete any photo you have uploaded at any time.
We collect anonymous usage analytics to understand how users interact with the app and to improve the experience. This includes screen views, feature usage patterns, and crash reports. Analytics data is aggregated and cannot be used to identify individual users.
You can opt out of optional data collection at any time: • Location: Revoke permission in device settings • Activity visibility: Toggle off in Settings > Privacy • Account deletion: Contact us to permanently delete all your data After account deletion, all personal data is removed within 30 days.
