We collect information you provide directly, including your email address, display name, username, profile photo, and any coffee reviews or bean logs you submit. We also collect device information, usage data, and approximate location when you use map features.
We use your information to provide and improve the Origin Note app experience, including personalizing your coffee discovery feed, displaying your reviews to other users, generating taste profiles, and showing nearby cafes on the map. We may also use your email to send important account notifications.
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, which provides enterprise-grade security with encryption at rest and in transit. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction.
We use the following third-party services: • Supabase: Database hosting, authentication, and file storage • Expo: App delivery and updates • MapLibre: Map rendering (no personal data shared) These services have their own privacy policies governing how they handle data.
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. You can update your profile information directly in the app, adjust privacy settings to control profile visibility, and request a full data export or account deletion by contacting us.
Origin Note is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory purposes.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy within the app and updating the effective date. Your continued use of Origin Note after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
